SAUVIGNON BLANC & SUMMER CORN SALAD

Lady and I have been spending a lot of time in the garden lately.  I have found that playing some reggae music while sipping on our Sauvignon Blanc is not only good for the soul, but for my corn and peppers.  Moments like these make me reminisce about some of my favorite pairings, which brings to mind wine club member (and close friend) Kay’s summer corn salad.  This recipe includes some of my favorite fresh ingredients and is the perfect match for our Sauvignon Blanc.

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, primarily derived from cool climate fruit sourced from Duff Bevill’s Hall Road Vineyard in the Russian River Valley was partially fermented in a new oak Ovomun.  This is a special wood vessel that keeps the wine’s fine lees in constant motion, adding richness and depth to the wine.  Loaded with flavors of fresh squeezed lemons, limes, lime zest, and wet stone the Sauvignon Blanc is a seamless pairing to this delicious corn salad!

Come by for a wine tasting here at our farmhouse style winery and try some of the Sauvignon Blanc while overlooking the Dry Creek valley.   Even better, take one home to enjoy alongside your summer salads!

Cheers,

Debra
