There are few things better than gathering around a table with fresh food, exceptional wine, and wonderful company—and that’s exactly what we enjoyed during our Pizza with Paul event this past Saturday at Dutcher Crossing Winery.

Guests were welcomed with glasses of our refreshing Sauvignon Blanc and elegant Chardonnay, paired with a vibrant estate garden crudité featuring freshly harvested vegetables from our own garden. With the vineyards as the backdrop and the sun shining overhead, it was the perfect way to begin an afternoon in Dry Creek Valley.

The highlight of the day came as Associate Winemaker Paul took center stage to share the art of crafting the perfect pizza dough. Guests learned his favorite techniques before rolling up their sleeves to create their own handcrafted pizzas, choosing from an array of fresh toppings prepared at each station.

As pizzas baked to perfection, everyone enjoyed our newly released Lady Noir Blanc Bark Blend #2—a bright, fruit-forward chillable red that proved to be the perfect pairing for a summer afternoon and wood-fired pizza.

Once the pizzas were ready, guests gathered around the table to share their creations over a fresh seasonal salad and glasses of our beautiful Pinot Noir. The afternoon was filled with laughter, conversation, and the simple joy of slowing down to enjoy great food and wine together.

To finish on a refreshing note, everyone was treated to a watermelon popsicle served in a glass of our Grace Reserve Brut Sparkling Wine—a fun and festive finale that perfectly captured the spirit of summer.
Events like Pizza with Paul are a wonderful reminder that wine is about so much more than what’s in the glass. It’s about bringing people together, creating memorable experiences, learning something new, and sharing a meal around the table.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special. We loved spending the afternoon with you and can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable experience at Dutcher Crossing Winery.
